Wide Treadmill (2009)

Problem: Running on the treadmill can become mundane…

Idea: You know that rush you get when you’re running around a track and you set yourself a challenge to overtake the person in front of you… That’s the idea behind the Wide Treadmill.
It’s a treadmill wide enough to accommodate two people running side by side on individual belts with separate speed settings.  Each runner is alerted when the other participant increases their speed or incline and it’s up to the individual to meet the challenge.

Further option: Digitally connect 2 existing treadmills to allow for friendly competition.
